The Communications Specialist at LAGERS will create digital and print content and maintain social media platforms. The position additionally collaborates with colleagues across LAGERS to produce content and develop visual themes for publications, digital marketing campaigns, social media, and internal employee communications.
Communication Specialist Job Functions:
- Plans, develops, and revises a variety of communication products and marketing campaigns such brochures, newsletters, forms, web content, presentations, video scripts, and fact sheets for distribution across various print and digital mediums.
- Maintains publication library to ensure content is current, dynamic, and accurate.
- Establishes, monitors, and maintains online media presence.
- Edits and proofreads content written by peers.
- Ensures a consistent organizational voice and branding.
- Maintains and reports analytics for various communications mediums.
Our ideal Communications Specialist should have:
- Excellent written communication skills, including the ability to turn complex ideas into plain language, excellent editing, copyediting, and proofreading skills.
- Experience in social media management and content creation and organization.
- Ability to manage multiple projects under deadlines, with outstanding time management/organization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work in or learn available programs to create/manage content including WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and Email Marketing Software.
- Strong attention to detail.
- 4+ Years in a similar role preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Graphic Design, or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Salary: $70,000 starting annual salary is negotiable and will depend on experience and identified value brought to the organization.
