Position Overview: Associate Attorney
As an Associate Attorney at Alexander & Associates, you will play a pivotal role in assisting our clients during some of the most challenging times in their lives. Your responsibilities will include:
Client Advocacy: Collaborating closely with our experienced partners to learn the art of effectively advocating for clients from diverse backgrounds, including high-level executives and individuals with various financial circumstances.
Client-Centered Approach: Taking the time to understand our clients' unique situations and problems, and working tirelessly to help them achieve their legal goals within the framework of the law.
Consultation and Client Identification: Learning how to conduct consultations that identify prospective clients and provide them with the guidance and support they need during their initial contact with our firm.
Legal Documentation: Drafting pleadings and other legal documents with precision and attention to detail, ensuring our clients' cases are presented effectively.
Court Appearances: Gaining experience in representing our clients in court, advocating on their behalf, and ensuring their rights and interests are protected.
Financial Evaluation: Evaluating the financial aspects of client's lives - including evaluating simple through complex investment portfolios, and executive compensation packages, helping clients understand financial implications of decisions made in their cases, and assisting in negotiations and settlements.
Mediation Participation: Participating in mediations to facilitate amicable resolutions whenever possible, aligning with our commitment to minimizing the emotional strain on our clients.
Ethical and Professional Conduct: Adhering to ethical standards, maintaining client confidentiality, and upholding professionalism in all interactions.

Minimum Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess a solid foundation in legal principles, including civil procedure and evidentiary rules, and demonstrate a keen ability to apply these principles effectively. They will exhibit a proactive approach to their work, taking initiative to tackle challenges and drive successful outcomes for our clients. Comfortable working independently and collaboratively, the ideal attorney will thrive in a fast-paced environment and contribute positively to team dynamics. Excellent communication skills are essential, as is the ability to think quickly on one's feet and adapt to evolving legal situations. - Applicants should be organized and comfortable with handling a minimum of 20 cases at one time.
- Applicants should be a licensed Colorado attorney in good standing with the Colorado State Bar.
- 1+ years of experience in a litigation setting preferred. Family Law experience is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Highly organized and comfortable handling multiple cases and clients at once.
Compensation Structure:

Base Salary: The base salary for the Associate Attorney position will be in the range of $80,000 to $120,000 annually.
Performance-Based Bonus: In addition to your base salary, we offer a performance-based bonus structure based on billable hours.

- Health Insurance: After a probationary period of 6 months, you will be eligible for our comprehensive health insurance plan, providing coverage for medical, dental, and vision expenses.
- 401(k) Retirement Plan: After your probationary period, we provide a 401(k) retirement plan. After one year, we also offer employer matching up to 3% of your base salary.
