ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
Customers and Sales:
- Must live in the NW Service Sales Territory: WA, MT, ND, WI, IL, IA, SD, WY, ID, OR, CA, NV, UT, CO, KS, MO, AZ, NM. Provides the distributors with target market and sales approaches to allow them to effectively penetrate different market segments in their markets.
- Assists the distribution’s salespeople and manufacturer’s reps in prospecting new customers, proposal generation, negotiation, and sales in the market.
o Key focus would be working on relationships with Architectural and Designer community and National Accounts in each market.
- Supports the distribution on major projects with strategies and sales support to win key projects and obtain contracts.
- Leads the performance improvement of existing distribution channels relative to the market.
- Leads the development of revitalization of new distribution streams and manufacturer’s reps.
Sales Training Support:
- Trains the sales force and supports staff to successfully sell into the different market segments, including sales strategies, application, product solutions and customer targets.
o Coaches and mentors, the distribution’s sales personnel.
- Provides insight to upper management to assist in the development of the training materials and objectives for each market.
Lead and Opportunity Management /Forecasting/Reporting:
- Assigns internal leads and opportunities to the appropriate distributor, as well as holds accountable distributors to accurately maintain project status, data integrity and information needed to close leads.
- Provides daily, weekly, monthly, and annual sales reports as required by the company.
Research/Analysis and Market Performance:
- Provides competitive information effecting company sales.
- Monitors, understands and reports (documents) trends in the New Product Development/Product Promotion
CERTIFICATION, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years relevant in sales and sales management experience.
- The ideal candidate to reside in the Sales Service area and have experience in working with interior design and architectural firms.
Other/technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office (e.g., Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Word, etc.); and the ability to execute internet-based information, electronic messaging, and other on-line initiatives.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Is typical of an office setting; the noise level in the work environment is low-to-moderate.
Ability to travel will vary from region to region based upon geographic size of the region, as well as regional needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $48,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
