Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic on Reefer, Genset, and Chassis (FMCSA Certified) equipment to join our team. The Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and inspections on reefers, gensets, and chassis used in the transportation of intermodal containers and goods. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform routine maintenance and inspections on intermodal chassis.
· Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
· Replace or repair damaged or worn components such as brakes, tires, wiring, and suspensions.
· Ensure all repairs and maintenance tasks are completed according to safety regulations and company standards.
· Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work.
· Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and timely completion of tasks.
· Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
· Stay updated on industry best practices and advancements in chassis maintenance and repair.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or vocational training in automotive or diesel mechanics preferred.
· Minimum of 2 years of experience as a mechanic, preferably in the intermodal or transportation industry.
· Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
· Proficiency with hand and power tools used in chassis repair and maintenance.
· Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
· Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong commitment to workplace safety.
Physical Requirements:
· Ability to lift and carry heavy objects
· Comfortable working in various weather conditions.
· Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.

Pay: From $24.00 per hour
