Overview:
Northern Union is gearing up for a busy summer season, and we are looking for multiple candidates to fill various roles in our newly renovated kitchen! We are a small casual fine dining restaurant located in downtown Ogunquit with a focus on scratch, seasonally driven, new American cuisine. At NU we are passionate about food and hospitality, we are team oriented, we are constantly learning and improving on our skills, but most importantly, we are always having fun and loving what we do. Ideal candidates will have upscale dining experience, knowledge of basic food safety and sanitation standards, and a willingness to grow and learn. Key Responsibilities:
Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation and design of food menus, ensuring consistency and adherence to quality standards.
Kitchen Operations: Produce high-quality dishes in a timely manner. Ensure that prep work is completed for service and that the kitchen is set up for success.
Maintain Standards: Follow recipes, portion controls, and presentation specifications as set by the Executive Chef.
Equipment & Safety: Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsibly. Ensure the kitchen adheres to sanitation and safety standards.
Collaboration: Work closely with other staff members to ensure seamless service and a consistent guest experience.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated on current culinary trends and techniques. Show a willingness to learn and grow under the guidance of the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a line cook
- Understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
- Culinary school diploma or equivalent experience is a plus.

Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
