Job Title: Direct Care Staff/Educator
Peace Living is looking for bright, caring, enthusiastic Direct Care Staff to join our
dynamic team! We serve areas of San Fernando Valley, Santa Clarita Valley and the Antelope Valley. We serve customers aged 6 – 22, their parent (s), and adults with
intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Our Direct Care Staff (educator) will work
directly with developmentally disabled clientele on much-needed adaptive skills training.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience with a significant population of
students and adults. We provide excellent training! We will Implement a quarterly
performance-based allowance for direct staff.
Peace Living is an innovative and comprehensive adaptive skills provider in the United
States, serving customers with special needs related to autism spectrum disorder,
learning disabilities, ADHD, developmental delays, abuse, and emotional problems.
Requirements:
- Master’s Degree (in Psychology, Education, Social Work, Counseling, Nursing, Behavior Analysis, Behavioral Medicine, Speech and language, Rehabilitation, or a related field)
- Must have a valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a clean record with no
- felonies, no misdemeanors, or consistent traffic violations.
- Must have TB test and criminal background clearance.
- Have at least 1 year of experience in designing and implementing adaptive skills training plans. or
- Have at least 1 year of working experience with developmentally disabled individuals.
- Capable of lifting 50+ pounds
- CPR, First Aid, and fingerprint
- Clean driving record for 2 years
- Familiarity with HIPPA, HIPPA Training, Safety First Training, and Mandated
- Reporting (procedures, laws, regulations) Training.
- Previous experience working with developmental disabilities such as Autism, Down Syndrome, Fragile X, Asperger Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and ADHD.
