ROLE DESCRIPTION:
Responsible for the design, development, and implementation of medical image reconstruction, processing, and visualization algorithms for medical imaging products. This person will optimize performance of algorithms for product platforms, work in close collaboration with a cross-disciplinary and cross-functional team of engineers, clinical application specialists, product managers, manufacturing engineers, and field service engineers to design, develop, and support customer-centric medical imaging products, participate in customer engagement to collecting unmet user needs, and design and execute scientific studies to evaluate and benchmark technologies and publish scientific and clinical results.

Design and optimize medical image reconstruction, processing, and visualization algorithms

Experiment with machine learning and deep learning algorithms for image enhancement

Contribute to qualitative and quantitative assessment of image quality

Participate in all phases of the imaging software development process: requirements, design, implementation, verification, release, and field service support

Work individually and as part of team of imaging engineers, software engineers, and system engineers in support of the entire R&D and the overall business

Participate in clinical studies

Update system documentation per product release
-
BA/BS in Computer Science, Medical Physics, Mathematics, Electrical Engineering, or other related discipline. An advanced degree is preferred

3+ years of clinical or industrial experience in a medical imaging field, as well as DICOM standards

Agile/SAFe experience preferred

Proficient in project management
-
6+ years of C/C++ and MatLab or Python programming experience

Proficiency in Linux is strongly preferred
-
Proficient with image reconstruction, signal processing and image post-processing software and methods
-
Strong in software development lifecycle, software architecture, object-oriented design
-
Experience with machine learning and deep learning and computer vision (TensorFlow and PyTorch)

Experience with bug tracking tools and report generating

ISO, FDA and CMDR knowledge preferred

Excellent verbal, written and computer-based communication skills

Occasionally lift and /or move up to 25 pounds
