Environmental Services (EVS) is a fancy medical term for the housekeeping/custodial/janitorial department in a hospital setting. This tech will also be helping in the nutrition department as needed. We need an energetic person to join our team full-time!

Mostly Days 6:30am - 3:00pm
Weekend schedule on rotation
Preferred candidates will be able to work some evening shifts as needed for coverage.
JOB SUMMARY:
The primary responsibility of the Environmental Services Tech is to provide a clean, sanitary, and pleasant hospital environment. Requires working in all areas of the facility, wherever assigned. Other responsibilities include daily documentation of work assignments and area completed. Documenting patient care/non-patient care hours worked. Assist in working with new employees and sharing knowledge
The Nutrition Services Assistant performs duties related to meal services. Major duties are: providing quality customer service, following standardized recipes for production of food items, operating a cash register, and performing cash/charge related transactions, producing food for room service patients, and using the dish machine to wash dishes. The assistant may need to perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor and or director
QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent preferred
Able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
Must be able to read and write and follow oral and written directions
Must be able to count money and make change
Able to work under stressful conditions
Knowledge and ability to use cleaning equipment
Must have a helpful, caring attitude
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Able to work in a latex burdened environment
Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs., reach, pull, stoop, bend and ability to stand for long periods of time
Demonstrates adequate vision, or correctable lenses in order to record information and read labels accurately to prepare cleaning solutions
Able to verbally communicate effectively
