Overview:
Choral Arts New England is dedicated to elevating choral music and creativity throughout around New England, chiefly through grants. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Part-Time Administrator to support our mission. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, good people skills, and a proactive approach..
Key Responsibilities:
- General Administration:
- Responsibility for Google Suite.
- Responsibility for organization correspondence, including email and Mailchimp mass messages.
- Responsibility for website and databases.
- Events; Grants:
- Responsibility for organizing annual award ceremony, working with Board committee chair.
- Responsibility for coordinating two grant programs.
- Financial Administration:
- Basic bookkeeping tasks, including invoicing, expense tracking, and budget monitoring.
- Work with the Treasurer in the preparation of financial reports and documents.
- Social Media:
- Help create newsletters, social media posts, and other communications materials as needed.
- Update the organization’s website and ensure content is current and relevant.
- Special Projects:
As agreed from time to time.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an administrative or office support role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with nonprofit organizations is a plus.
- Familiarity with CiviCRM software, social media platforms and / or Mailchimp is a plus.
Additional Information:
- This is a remote position. Candidate is responsible to manage his/her/their time.
