REGIONAL DIRECTOR OF NURSING-- TENNESSEE
The Regional Director of Nursing oversees the company’s clinical care, healthcare operations and quality assurance within a defined region. This position serves as a liaison between the home office and the assigned communities within the region to clearly communicate the overall goals and objectives concerning resident clinical care, sales & marketing, healthcare operations and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities
- Management of all aspects of resident clinical care and healthcare operations.
- Recruitment, training and mentoring of Resident Services Directors.
- Successfully manage healthcare needs and opportunities of residents.
- Responsible for clinical outputs, putting plans in place, and working with the community teams.
- Maintain compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Maintains Morning Pointe's quality assurance and compliance programs.
- Ensure compliance with Morning Pointe policies and procedures.
- Educate employees regarding the corporate commitment to all laws, regulations, and guidelines of the state and federal government.
Expectations
- Understanding of and experience with the assessment, documentation, medication management, scheduling, labor management, care planning and marketing components of healthcare operations within the senior living industry.
- Ability to handle stressful situations.
- Audits clinical charts ensuring the provision of quality care and services to residents. Ensures that the resident care department is always “survey ready”.
- Assists with the development of staffing plans that assure there are sufficient numbers of qualified, competent staff to meet resident care needs in each assigned Community.
- Recommends numbers and types of nursing personnel necessary to provide care and to maintain compliance with Community mission and with regulations.
- Supervise development of in-service education programs designed to equip care staff with sufficient knowledge and skills to provide nursing and nursing related services to each resident.
- Assists in developing policies and procedures that reflect current clinical practice, professional standards, and Morning Pointe philosophy of care.
- Communicate and interpret policies and procedures to assigned communities.
- Monitor and audit to help ensure that all new employee orientation and annual required updates are current and documented per state guidelines.
- Monitor and coach on how and when to conduct resident assessments and care plans, how to evaluate residents’ responses to interventions and effective documentation in clinical records, including MARS, to ensure compliance with state and federal requirements.
Education and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current active license as a Nurse in each state he/she is assigned to work in.
- RN licensure is required.
- Significant experience in a leadership role within the senior living industry.
- Five years of professional nursing experience.
- Experience with Memory Care preferred.
- Senior Living experience Preferred.
