While prior experience in programmable logic controllers (PLCs) is not required, experience in control panel building is preferred.
Job Description:
The primary focus for Process Controls Electricians is providing consistently clean work to our control system projects. Our Control Techs scope of work will pivot depending on the timeline, and stage of our projects. This means you will be responsible for various tasks. You can expect to work on assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining industrial control panels and related equipment. This position will have employees working in both the field and our panel shop. The ratio of fieldwork versus panel shop is seventy-five percent fieldwork & twenty-five percent panel shop.
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Assemble and wire industrial control panels according to specifications and standards.
- Install and integrate control panels, devices, and sensors in industrial settings.
- Perform functional testing and troubleshooting of control systems.
- Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure project goals are met.
- Conduct preventive maintenance and calibration of control systems.
- Always adhere to safety guidelines and protocols.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or coursework is a plus.
- Prior experience in control panel building is preferred.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and components.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems and automation technologies.
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, including electrical schematics.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to work with precision.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
