BASIC FUNCTION: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will work under the supervision of a registered nurse and will provide direct professional nursing care to nursing home residents. The LPN will be responsible for providing basic medical care, monitoring patients' conditions, and administering medications as prescribed. The LPN will be part of the medical team responsible for ensuring that patient care is delivered safely and effectively.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assess needs, incorporates plans, and provides medications and treatments under supervision of a Registered Nurse.
- Assists in the maintenance of health and the prevention or management of illness, injury and disability.
- Ensures that the total care, health, comfort, and safety of residents by assisting with bathing, feeding, and dressing.
- At times the LPN rotates shifts and areas of assigned duties according to the needs of the facility.
- Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be a graduate from an approved program in practical nursing.
- Must possess a current valid state of Colorado license to practice as an LPN.
- Must have current IV Certification within 1 year of employment and maintain current status throughout GRHD employment.
- Must have current BLS card upon hire and maintain current status.
SALARY INFORMATION:
- $25.00 - $27.51 Dependent on experience may vary outside this range
- Additional $2.00 - $4.00 an hour for additional weekend and night shifts
- Bonus (If Eligible)
- Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
