Human Resources Business Partner
Chicago or Lisle, IL (Hybrid)
Salary Range: $75,000 - $95,000
Patrick Engineering, A RINA company, is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join our North America HR team and contribute to the success of our global company. With 400 employees currently in North America and our expected growth, this HRBP will be an integral part of our team as we transition to operating under our international parent company (RINA).
Responsibilities will include management and leadership coaching, providing insights and solutions to the management team to address business challenges and development of strategies. Primary Responsibilities
- Advise on performance and compensation activities throughout the year. Ensure end-to-end HR service delivery by maintaining partnership across all HR functions.
- Partner in strategic and operational aspects of new HR initiatives.
- Understand and execute programs in the areas of performance, development, and retention, in collaboration with RINA colleagues and direction.
- Anticipate and actively work with the various leadership teams to ensure and maintain appropriate staffing levels.
- Work with Recruiting on key hiring for the business including negotiation of offers and appropriate on-boarding planning.
- Provide expertise in the areas involving federal, state(s), and local legal requirements, regulatory guidelines, and labor laws. Recommend strategies to HR leadership to ensure compliance.
- Review, update and provide training as needed for HR procedures and processes (onboarding, etc.)
- Provide support and direction related to policy interpretation or addressing policy concerns.
- Participate in onboarding delivery.
- Act as a liaison to the Global Human Resources teams on matters of job descriptions, compensation, and equity.
- Perform HRIS data entry and leverage HRIS and other systems to ensure data is accurate and the changes are approved and processed efficiently and in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related field.
- 7+ years of progressive Human Resources experience
- Proven ability to work in a supportive, collaborative, and inclusive team environment.
- Knowledge of relevant HR labor laws and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to present findings and recommendations to senior management.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Strong MS Office Skills including proficiency in pulling data from an HRIS system. Knowledge of compensation analysis tools and software a plus.
- HR experience in the Engineering field preferred
Additional Preferences
- 5% travel may be required based upon business needs.
