Adler Pelzer Group - a growing global Tier 1 supplier of Acoustic and Thermal Soft Trim products to the automotive industry is seeking for a strong and motivated individual to fill the position of the Project Buyer for our Regional Headquarters in Troy, Michigan.
The Project Buyer is responsible for sending out raw material RFQ's related to new programs, reviewing the supplier quotations and preparing a sourcing recommendation for management. The Project Buyer works closely with the cross functional team (including Program Management, Sales, and R&D) to execute the program requirements while taking care to source on time and at target cost. The Project Buyer is also responsible for supporting the program needs with sample materials or pre-serial orders.

Objectives of the Project Buyer:
- Send out RFQ’s
- Prepare quote comparison for sourcing decisions
- Follow up on PPAP documentation
- Attend Project team meeting to report out on sourcing needs and timing
- Price Negotiations
- Sourcing of new suppliers
- Order Sample Material for trials/testing
- Create purchase orders
Requirements for the Project Buyer:
- Tier 1 Automotive purchasing experience
- Fluent in English
- 3+ years of experience in purchasing
- Bachelor's degree in business or supply chain or equivalent work experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
- SAP - Materials Module (MM) experience
- Expense reporting experience (Concur)
