The Production Supervisor/Manager role is a highly visible and professional position that provides vital staffing services to our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and directing all aspects of client workforce, acting as a liaison between the client and the employees and providing a high-level of customer service to clients and employees.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Overseeing client relations and daily operations
· Attend daily meetings to present staffing headcount to upper management
· Managing and coaching 30+ employees in the Unloading process/Receiving Dock plus packing area
· Oversee all client guidelines required on site
· Lead the KPower team and oversee several functions to ensure KPower associates are productive and compliant with rules
· Responsible for coaching and terminating job assignments.
· Maintain high level of visibility at the client location and with community resources
· On-going quality assessment of processes, procedures and performance
· Coordinate timekeeping and payroll process of temporary employees for reporting to corporate payroll department
· Service client orders and communicate information on open positions to appropriate departments and management
· Ensure that all paperwork conforms to company policies as it pertains to compliance practices
· Conduct orientations and provide check-in support for new employees as needed
· Conduct performance evaluations for staff and coach and discipline as needed
· Complete injury reports, conduct accident investigations and present findings weekly to the client's safety team
· Daily reporting including but not limited to shift roster, payroll, daily headcount, new hires, etc.
· Maximize use of available technology to ensure optimum, cost-effective, timely and high quality results
· Ability to promote continuous improvement among our associates in regards to retention, attendance and performance
· Job consists of 85% of time being hands-on and seen walking the floor, work areas, engaging with employees, etc. and 15% of time performing admin tasks.
Requirements:
· Must be flexible in work schedule depending on client's needs
· Must be proficient in basic computer skills, excel and word
· Must be able to work well alone or as part of a team
· Must be a good communicator with all levels of management
· Must have 2+ years of Production management experience -Third Party Logistics (3PL) Experience
· Must be a self-motivator on task accomplishment
· Must possess the ability to work well under a stressful, fast paced environment
Bilingual is a plus.
Experience using Kronos is preferred.
