Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for LMSW or LCSW. The social worker will be responsible for providing direct services to clients, conducting assessments, developing care plans, and connecting clients to resources within The Broad Center and the wider community. The social worker will also provide group therapy and facilitate support groups for different populations. With an experienced social worker, he/she will be advocating, supporting, and working with those who are in need. The social worker will be planning, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating actions required to meet the clients health and human services. He/she would also be responsible for developing a plan to provide residents with the appropriate social services such as employment and housing alongside creating overall building blocks to reinforce our mission of improving the lives of others. He/she will also counsel and provides crisis Intervention for patients, including treatment for emotional and behavioral problems.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Social Work
- NYS LMSW or LCSW - Required
- Experience providing care coordination, case management, and group therapy
- Knowledge of mental health and substance abuse issues
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and community partners
- Familiarity with community resources and ability to make appropriate referrals
- Cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse populations
- Bilingual in Spanish and English- Required
Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, manage and implement support packages to help clients deal with difficulties and overcome dependencies
- Provide individual counseling sessions based on caseload and/or coverage needs
- Monitor and evaluate clients’ progress and modify treatment plans accordingly
- Maintain accurate records and report on clients’ status
- Refer clients to community services to help them in recovery
- Relate and communicate with diverse populations and groups
- Build and maintain professional helping relationships with partnering organization
- Create and facilitate group sessions
- Other tasks as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
