BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST BCBA Responsibilities:
- Provide behavioral support to individuals with autism and developmental disabilities
- Implement behavior intervention plans and strategies
- Conduct assessments and collect data on behavior
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized treatment plans
- Teach and reinforce appropriate social and communication skills
- Monitor progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of client progress and behavior data
- Provide training and support to families and caregivers
BOARD CERTIFIED BEHAVIOR ANALYST BCBA Requirements:
- Master's degree in a related field (e.g., psychology, special education)
- Experience working with individuals with autism or developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles and techniques
- Familiarity with behavioral therapy approaches
- Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality of client information
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Experience working with children is preferred
- Knowledge of special education practices is a plus
