Job Summary: The Director of Strategic Marketing will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive revenue growth and brand awareness. This role will involve collaborating with the sales team to align marketing efforts with sales objectives, ensuring the effective implementation of our SLG GTM strategy. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in B2B SaaS marketing, with a deep understanding of SLG strategies and a passion for driving results through innovative marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute the overall strategic marketing plan in alignment with company goals and SLG GTM strategy.
- Identify market opportunities, customer segments, and competitive landscape to inform marketing strategies.
- Set clear objectives and key results (OKRs) for the marketing team, ensuring alignment with sales targets.
- Sales and Marketing Alignment:
- Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure marketing strategies support sales objectives.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with sales leadership to align marketing efforts with sales initiatives.
- Create and manage lead generation campaigns that effectively drive high-quality leads to the sales team.
- Demand Generation and Lead Nurturing:
- Oversee demand generation strategies, including inbound and outbound marketing campaigns, content marketing, and events.
- Implement lead nurturing programs to move prospects through the sales funnel, ensuring a seamless handoff to the sales team.
- Monitor and optimize lead generation campaigns to maximize ROI and conversion rates.
- Brand Management and Positioning:
- Develop and maintain a strong brand presence in the market, ensuring consistent messaging across all channels.
- Create compelling content and collateral that effectively communicates the value proposition of our solutions.
- Manage public relations and media outreach to enhance brand visibility and reputation.
- Market Research and Analytics:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive insights.
- Use data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and adjust strategies as needed.
- Provide regular reporting on marketing performance, including KPIs and ROI, to the executive team.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing team.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative team culture that encourages continuous learning and improvement.
- Manage marketing budgets and resources effectively to achieve strategic objectives.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in B2B marketing, preferably within the SaaS industry.
- Proven experience with Sales-Led Growth (SLG) strategies and aligning marketing with sales objectives.
- Strong understanding of demand generation, lead nurturing, and account-based marketing (ABM).
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of developing and mentoring marketing professionals.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Proficiency in marketing automation tools, CRM systems, and analytics platforms.
