studio M MERGE is a woman owned, multi-disciplinary firm located in Oakland. Design and team centered, we highly stress and value the importance of collaboration in our office. We build amazing teams and projects by collaborating with our clients, master builders, artisans and experts in the fields of construction, energy efficiency and water management. Everyone in our studio is a self starter, motivated and loves what they do. We juggle the responsibilities of work and family and provide a supportive environment to do so. Our project types include large scale residential property planning, small urban gardens/back yards, edible gardens, multifamily residential landscape plans, custom homes, remodels and additions. We currently have over 20 projects and need more talented and motivated people to join our team. We need a full time project landscape architect to work on projects and work with project teams on all phases from design through construction. Salary is commensurate with experience and education.
Requirements:
Minimum B.Land. Arch.; Master of Landscape Architecture preferred
7-9 years’ experience (required) in residential landscape architecture
Must be willing to work in Oakland, in-person, 3 days per week.
Ability to research and work in a team environment
Ability to manage and direct junior staff
Advanced project management skills
Experience with running projects and meeting with clients and contractors
Strong design skills
Strong hand drawing skills
Strong technical skills and experience with construction documents, permit preparation and construction administration
Experience with building code
Must have experience with 3-D software. Proficiency in Revit or Archicad, Adobe Suite, 3-D modeling.
Must be MAC based user
Must have local bay area plant knowledge
Strong organizational, writing and interpersonal skills
SITES accreditation, green design experience is a plus
Licensure in California is a plus
Experience in architecture a plus
A sense of humor is a plus:-)
