Location: State College, PA 16801
Duration: 13 weeks (with possibilities of extension)
Shift: 12 hrs shifts 0645-1915, every other weekend

Pay Details:
For Local Candidates pay rate: $54 to $62/hr (If your permanent address is within 50 miles from the facility)
For Travelers/Stipend Candidates (If your permanent address is outside the 50 mile radius from the facility):
Blended Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $59.00
Blended Weekly Gross Pay Rate: $2,124.00
Minimum Hourly W2 Pay Rate: $26.73
Min. W2 Weekly Gross (Taxable): $962.28
Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,161.72

Position Summary:
The Registered Nurse (RN) is accountable to the Unit Director/Manager for the provision of nursing care within the assigned unit during the designated shift. In the absence of the Unit Director/Manager, responsibilities extend to the Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Clinical Coordinator of the shift. The RN delivers professional nursing care using the nursing process, ensuring comprehensive assessment of patient needs, development of individualized care plans, implementation of nursing interventions, and evaluation of outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Assumes responsibility for the overall nursing practice of the unit during the assigned shift.
- Conducts thorough assessments of patients' health status and develops comprehensive care plans to address identified needs.
- Implements nursing interventions and treatments according to established protocols and standards.
- Evaluates the effectiveness of nursing care and adjusts care plans as necessary.
- Acts as a liaison between patients and interdisciplinary healthcare team members, promoting effective communication and collaboration.
- Maintains a professional demeanor and communication style in all interactions.
- Demonstrates a high level of emotional resilience, tact, and sensitivity in interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Functions effectively as a team member and facilitates communication between patients and staff.
- Supports and fosters harmonious communication skills within the healthcare team.
- Demonstrates strong verbal, non-verbal, and written communication skills.
- Communicates professionally and respectfully in all situations.

License/Certification/Registration:
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Pennsylvania.
- Maintains current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification as per American Heart Association standards, renewed biennially.
