Job Title: Security Officer
Position Overview: The Security Officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of all guests, employees, and property at North Coast Casino. This role involves monitoring the premises, responding to incidents, and enforcing the casino’s policies and procedures to maintain a safe environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Surveillance and Monitoring:
- Patrol the casino floor and surrounding areas to ensure a safe and secure environment.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect and prevent security breaches.
- Keep a vigilant eye on all activities within the casino to identify suspicious behavior.
- Incident Response:
- Respond promptly to security incidents, including disputes, thefts, and emergencies.
- Provide assistance during medical emergencies, including first aid and coordinating with medical personnel.
- Detain and escort unruly or suspicious individuals from the premises as necessary.
- Customer Service:
- Provide excellent customer service while ensuring guests follow casino rules and regulations.
- Assist guests with directions, information, and other inquiries in a friendly and professional manner.
- Handle guest complaints and resolve issues in a calm and efficient manner.
- Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all gaming regulations, company policies, and state laws.
- Verify identification and monitor entry points to prevent underage gambling.
- Conduct routine checks and audits to ensure adherence to security procedures.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and irregularities.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and documentation for management and law enforcement.
- Assist in investigations by providing necessary information and evidence.
- Team Collaboration:
- Work collaboratively with other security officers, supervisors, and casino staff.
- Participate in regular training sessions and security drills.
- Assist with the training of new security personnel.
Qualifications
- Experience in security and conflict management is essential for this role
- First aid, law enforcement, surveillance, CPR, and military background are premium skills that would be advantageous
- Knowledge of CCTV systems and experience in loss prevention are relevant skills that would be beneficial
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.93 - $22.80 per hour
