About the Position:
Our clinic in Wilson, North Carolina is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide coverage in partnership with our on-site physician. The incumbent must be willing to travel (on occasion and with notice) to our other local clinic in Goldsboro as needed. This is a full-time (exempt) position to support our growing Pain Management Practice.
This position offers a great inter-professional structure with an onsite Physician. Pain management experience is a plus, but not required. New graduates are welcome to apply! Training will include concepts, treatment plans, minor therapeutic injections, and the latest in advanced diagnosis and treatment of chronic and acute pain.
Schedule: Monday through Friday - 8 am - 4 pm, no nights, holidays, or weekends!
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Conduct routine patient follow-ups after physician’s initial procedure
- Facilitate medication management if needed focusing on opioid reduction strategies
- Recommend additional pain management therapy, procedures, or testing
- Respond to patient concerns and messages
- Maintain continuity of care by scheduling patients for appropriate follow up visits
- Delegate to and collaborate with clinical support staff
- Respond to inquiries from physicians, management, and support staff
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements (Knowledge, Skills, Abilities)
- NP North Carolina license
- Applicant must be verified and current with all certifications; including NC medical license, DEA license, etc.
- Prefer 1 year of pain management experience, but new graduates are welcome to apply!
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of diverse individuals
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
