Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm, overtime as required and approved
Summary: The Machine Technician is responsible for operating and maintaining the machines within the machine shop as well as in-process inspection of parts produced. The Machine Technician will play a large role in the day to day production, and contribute ideas on improvements and processes within a team dynamic. This is a great opportunity for a motivated person who wants to be in the aviation repair field.
This position performs safety-sensitive functions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Operate Machinery.
- Hold tight tolerances, no more than +/- .005.
- Troubleshoot tooling or program issues.
- Inspect part with minimal supervision.
- Document setups, tooling, cycle times and inspections.
- Edit programs when needed.
- Continual improvement of skills.
- Keep area well organized.
- High efficiency while setting up or operating machines.
- Make sure parts are free of sharp or rough edges unless specified.
- Other duties as assigned
What you’ll bring:
- Setup Machines with multiple offsets or operations.
- Must be able to read prints.
- Ability to multitask.
- Ability to fully inspect part to drawing dimensions and tolerances.
- Excel
- Word
- Welding experience preferred
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
