Job Summary:
The tool room technician is responsible for maintaining, issuing, and tracking tools and equipment within our organization. The primary duties include managing inventory, ensuring tools are in good condition, and coordinating with various departments to ensure that business needs are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Manage the tool room inventory, including but not limited to receiving, organizing, and issuing tools and equipment.

Conduct regular inspections to ensure tools are in good working condition and arrange for repairs or replacements as needed.

Keep accurate records of tool transactions, including Issues, returns, and any maintenance performed.

Collaborate with different departments to understand their tool requirements and ensure timely availability.

Implement and enforce tool control procedures to prevent loss or damage.

Assist In the development and implementation of efficient tool management processes.

Coordinate with suppliers to procure new tools and negotiate favorable terms.

Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders, addressing tool-related inquiries and concerns.

Maintain a safe, clean, and organized tool room environment for efficient operations.

Collaborate with safety team to ensure compliance with safety regulations related to tools and equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical or vocational training is a plus.

Knowledge of CNC Programming and tooling preferred.

Proven experience in tool management or a related field in a similar environment highly desired.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

Ability to use computerized inventory systems.

Knowledge of basic tool maintenance and repair.

Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy in record-keeping. Excellent customer service skills and a collaborative mindset.

Familiarity with safety regulations related to tools and equipment.
