Role: Network Deployment Engineer
- Partner with vendors to select appropriate technical solutions.
- Develop state of the art technology appropriate to deliver stable and scalable technical solutions.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop consensus, drive results, and execute projects across the organization on time and within budget.
- Manage several simultaneous projects from conception through implementation.
- Contribute to standards and design patterns. Deliver solutions tailored to internal business requirements. Articulate design rationale, flexibly adapt solutions, and iterate designs when required.
- Provide 3rd level support and input as required to teams diagnosing reported issues, providing root cause analysis to management and the business teams.
- Routers, Switches, LAN/WAN Design and Engineering
- VPN technologies, Network Encryption and Network Access Control experience.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco IOS-based routers: ASR, ISRs, Cat8Ks.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco Licensing Server
- Cisco IOS based switches within the Catalyst and Nexus families.
- Strong working knowledge of networking layer 3 technologies, such as routing protocols OSPF, BGP, EVPN, ACI, Multicast, VRF, GRE & IPSec
- Solid working knowledge of data communication protocol suites such as TCP/IP and other general data networking knowledge (data cabling), and telecom services (T1/T3/OC3, etc.)
- Working knowledge of network infrastructure performance diagnosis and scalability assessment activities
- In-depth knowledge of layer 2 technologies, such as Vlans, Spanning-Tree, MLAG, MEC, VXLAN and MPLS.
- Central Authentication, Authorization and Accounting protocols such as RADIUS or TACACS+
- Display their core network engineering fundamental knowledge which includes but not limited to network system design and implementation procedures.
