Job Title: CNC Operator

ZYCI is a fast growing high-end, AS9100 certified, CNC machining business located in Chamblee, Georgia. We are seeking skilled CNC operators to join our team. Our company specializes in producing high precision metal and plastic components for a range of applications including rockets, missiles, satellites, animatronics, robots, and medical devices.
Job Summary:
We are looking for CNC operators with a high level of attention to detail to set up and operate computer-numerical-control (CNC) machines that produce high precision components according to specific instructions. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of machine operation, program editing, offset adjustments and maintenance, as well as experience in reading and interpreting technical drawings.
Our machines are primarily OKUMA and HAAS. The range from simple 3-axis mills to 5-axis machining centers with integrated robots, Horizontal machining centers with 6 pallets, turning centers with sub-spindles, 2 turrets and live tooling, and 9-axis Swiss machines.

Responsibilities:
- Edit programs, set up and operate CNC machines to produce high-precision metal and plastic components.
- Read and interpret technical drawing and work orders to ensure compliance with specifications.
- Inspect in-process and finished parts for adherence to tolerances, and adjust offsets / replace tooling as needed to ensure all specifications are met
- Maintain accurate records of production, including in-process inspection and machine maintenance logs.
- Follow all safety guidelines and ensure that all machinery is properly maintained.
- Collaborate with other members of the team to improve production processes and reduce waste.
Ideal Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in CNC operations preferred.
- At least 2 years of experience operating CNC machines, including knowledge of programming and setting up machines.
- Strong understanding of technical drawings and work orders.
- Ability to use measuring equipment such as micrometers, calipers, and gages to ensure accuracy of finished parts..
- Good communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, as needed.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
