Job Description:
The Assistant Manager’s role is to ensure our guest experience begins and ends with exceptional service. We are looking for an individual who can manage a high-volume of business while providing guest-centric service at fast food-speed.
Primary responsibilities include managing FOH or BOH staff, enforcing restaurant policies and procedures, handling customer grievances, overseeing food prep, managing stations in both FOH and BOH, organizing and delivering catering orders, and upholding company culture.
The right candidate will lead by example and collaborate with senior management to implement restaurant best practices to further enhance the overall guest experience and restaurant sales.
Additional Duties:
- Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times
- Ensure that service standards are met, and service staff is actively engaged in exceeding guest expectations.
- Understand all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines and training programs for FOH and BOH; Hold staff accountable for those objectives being met
- Uphold food quality standards, portions, cooking procedures, and presentation
- Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility, sanitation and cleanliness
- Create a positive and productive work environment
- Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures
- Ensure all end of day cash outs are correctly completed and documented
- Oversee training of staff members
- Provide regular and ongoing performance feedback to all staff members
- Actively monitor and adjust hourly labor currently on the clock as it relates to business levels
- Ensure employee clock-ins are consistent with hours scheduled and worked
- Conducts pre-shift line-ups and shift duty charts on a dailybasis
- Train new staff members
Requirements:
- 1 year of management experience (preferred)
- 1 year of restaurant experience (preferred)
- No education requirements, the applicant should be willing to listen and learn
- ServSafe certification (preferred)
Physical Expectations:
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 10 hours)
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to move and process information quickly
