Title: Optometrist
Base Salary Range: $110,702 - $125,740 plus benefits
FTE: Full Time - Exempt

General Summary: The Optometrist will be responsible for providing complete high quality optometric/vision care services to patients. The Optometrist will perform evaluation of the eyes and formulate an appropriate treatment plan per scope of practice as regulated by South Center Family Health Services.
- Provides treatment of the visual system within the scope of optometric licensure, including writing prescriptions for ophthalmic spectacles, lenses, orthoptics and non-optical aids.
- Maintains compliance with all current organizational, state and federal regulations pertaining to Optometry
- Provide comprehensive vision examinations
- Provide primary vision evaluations, establishes a rapport with patients and other customers.
- Integrate new techniques and innovations that improve patient care and services
- Conducts detection and different diagnosis of abnormal visual, ocular and/or systematic conditions
- Assess binocular vision, perform a full refraction, and prescribe appropriate correction, and assess ocular health
- Works with staff, management, students, and patients in creating an exceptional experience
Qualifications Licensure and Certifications:
- Doctor of Optometry Degree (OD) from an Accredited School of Optometry
- State License of will be licensed to practice optometry (New Graduates) in the state in which you will be practicing
- National Provider Identifier (NPI)
- Current BLS Certification
- Excellent knowledge of optical devices and their applications
- Computer literate, familiar with MS Office/comfortable learning new program
- Bilingual and Bi-literate Spanish/English preferred
