We are a successful, small animal, private practice seeking a full or part-time veterinarian. Our hospital services dogs and cats, but we are open to other species depending on your skills. We are a very busy, dynamic one doctor practice with a hard-working, skilled staff and can quickly fill a caseload for a new doctor. We have fully equipped surgical and dental suites. We provide competitive production-based compensation and will also consider an option to sell. We are also offering a sign-on bonus of $25,000

Responsibilities:
- Examine animals and diagnose their health issues
- Perform surgeries, vaccinations, and other medical procedures as needed
- Prescribe medications and provide ongoing treatment plans for animals
- Educate pet owners on proper animal care and preventive measures
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and other staff members to provide comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate medical records for all patients
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in veterinary medicine
Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited veterinary school
- Valid state veterinary license
- Experience in a veterinary practice or internship preferred
- Strong knowledge of veterinary terminology, aseptic technique, and animal husbandry
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other professionals
- Proficiency in practice management software and computer skills
Skills:
- Kennel management and animal care experience
- Equine medicine knowledge and experience
- Proficiency in veterinary terminology and procedures
- Understanding of aseptic technique for surgical procedures
- Strong animal husbandry skills for proper care and handling of animals
- Knowledge of practice management principles for efficient clinic operations
- Ability to provide dog training and behavioral counseling services
- Familiarity with pet care practices for various species
