The Human Resources Business Partner at ASG is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management. This position will focus on the Company’s California-based employees. This position will maintain an effective level of business literacy about the business unit’s financial position, employee relations, culture, and competition. Evaluate human resources policies, programs, and practices.

What you’ll do:* (Including, but not limited to):
- Consult with management and provide HR guidance when appropriate.
- Analyze trends and metrics in partnership with the HR group to develop solutions, programs, and policies.
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues. Conduct effective, thorough, and objective investigations.
- Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to the day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommends best practices.
- Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention.
- Advise employees on policy, processes, and planning as defined by the company’s business strategies.
- Maintain weekly, monthly, and annual metrics as assigned.
- Provides guidance and input on workforce planning and succession planning.
- Participates in the evaluation and monitoring of training programs to ensure success.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in the Human Resources field
- Performs other duties as assigned, which are reasonably within the scope of the responsibilities of this job classification.

What you’ll need:*
General
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources, related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of human resources experience in the California market.
- Thorough understanding of California labor laws and regulations.

Technical*
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience with ADP Workforce now
*
Desired Skills*
- Experience working with highly confidential information while maintaining discretion.
- Requires excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
