Job Summary:
As a Design Consultant, you will collaborate closely with clients to understand their requirements, provide expert advice on window treatment options, and create customized design solutions. You will play a pivotal role in guiding clients through the selection process, ensuring they receive personalized recommendations that align with their style preferences, functional needs, and budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Meet with clients in showroom settings or at their homes or businesses to conduct consultations.
- Listen actively to clients’ needs and preferences to determine their window treatment requirements.
- Provide knowledgeable guidance and recommendations on various window treatment options, including blinds, shades, shutters, draperies, and motorization systems.
- Create customized design proposals and present them to clients in a clear and engaging manner.
- Take accurate measurements of windows and spaces to ensure precise specifications for custom orders.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including installation specialists and project managers, to coordinate and execute design plans effectively.
- Prepare accurate quotes and estimates based on client specifications and product selections.
- Follow up with clients to address any questions or concerns and finalize design decisions.
- Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and innovations to offer cutting-edge design solutions.
- Maintain relationships with clients to foster long-term partnerships and generate referrals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a design consultant, interior designer, or similar role within the window treatment industry.(Preferred)
- Strong understanding of window treatment products, materials, and installation techniques. (Preferred)
- Excellent design sense and ability to create aesthetically pleasing and functional solutions.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to listen actively, understand client needs, and build rapport.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle for travel to client locations.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
