Part-Time, up to 18 hours per week, shifts will vary; may include days, evenings, and weekend hours
STARTING RATE (Effective 7/1/24):
$16.00 / hour
POSITION RANGE (Effective 7/1/24):
$16.00 - $17.00 / hour
POSITION OVERVIEW & REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The Library Aide assists Library patrons with inquiries of a non-reference nature and with the use of equipment. The Aide performs receptionist duties, uses electronic databases, and performs simple equipment maintenance. This position includes shelving, sorting and distributing mail, assisting with programs, and other related clerical duties. This position generally requires a high school diploma or equivalent. Must have basic computer and clerical skills, good oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to deal effectively with the public. Library experience, attention to detail, ability to work with children and teens, comfortable with technology, flexible schedule and bilingual preferred.
