Material Handler I
Summary: Material handling, packaging, and cleaning equipment. Responsible for following written and verbal work instructions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Plans by studying work orders or shipping paperwork, materials, and customer order specifications.

Verifies material stock before packaging products, loading trucks, or processing job orders.

Loads/unloads material stock using a forklift, by hand, with an overhead crane.

Load truck for shipment with supervision.

Process stock pulls with supervision.
-
Build skids and pallets.
-
Cleans and/or packages material for shipping.
-
Communicates with a supervisor or team lead regarding warehouse procedures.

Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
-
Maintains continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.

Documents actions by completing production and quality logs.

Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Maintaining quality and safety standards and keeping records.

Education and Experience
GED or High School degree and 2 years related experience and training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
