Shift Lead Job Description
The Shift Lead will have strong interpersonal, qualitative and quantitative skills dedicated to supporting the Retail Manager to oversee the dispensary employees and assist with managing all retail operations (including opening and closing responsibilities and day to day floor operations) in accordance with professional guidelines, operational protocols and quality standards established by Blue River™
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage store operations in the absence of the Retail Manager including opening and closing responsibilities and day to day floor operations. training, customer complaints while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal inspection, billing or licensing requirements.
- Partner with management to maintain and foster efficient and ongoing communication with the dispensary staff as well as management
- Inspire staff to constantly bring the best possible service to our guests
- Oversee cleaning schedule and coordinate general maintenance needs
- Overseeing staff breaks, shift cuts, delegating side work and closing tasks
- Monitor Budtender interactions with customer, and ensuring proper verbiage is being used.
- Responsible for handling and resolving customer issues and escalations.
- Monitor queues to ensure timely processing and identify opportunities by communicating with the team on issues, concerns and updates
- Employee development and productivity liaison (Assessing employee knowledge and comfort in role. Picking up on potential issues and relaying them to management.
Qualifications / Experience
- 1-3 yr. previous retail supervisor experience preferred
- Cannabis industry experience preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills, business sense, and professionalism to communicate with all levels of management and staff;
- Highly motivated, confident, high-energy; flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Ability to work independently in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and with a variety of personalities at various seniority levels.
- Strong attention to detail; time-management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Must possess the ability to train, develop and team member.
- Must possess excellent people skills and be able to communicate effectively verbally and written
- Beginner METRC knowledge preferred
- Flexible schedule for a 7 day a week operation
- Minimum 21 years of age
- Must possess valid driver’s license or state ID
- Must pass any and all required background checks
- Must be able to be approved for a current state cannabis worker license or permit.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
