Our teachers take on the responsibility of creating and maintaining a nurturing, play-based learning environment, developing the curriculum, evaluating and documenting each student's progress through observations and assessments, and conducting family conferences. They actively engage in weekly team meetings, collaborate with other teachers or faculty members, and ensure ongoing communication with families throughout the year.
In addition to these crucial roles, teachers will be expected to attend monthly faculty meetings and engage in ongoing professional development, as well as other responsibilities assigned by the administration.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Education or currently taking classes
- DEEC Certification
- Understanding of emergent and child center curriculum
- Knowledge of child development and best practices in education
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to effectively manage a classroom and handle behavioral challenges
- Experience with special needs and early intervention strategies a plus
- Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
- Excellent attention to detail and reliable
