Silbar Security is seeking professional Armed & Unarmed Security Officers for onsite position in Annandale, VA. We are hiring IMMEDIATELY for this position located at:

Schedule: two guards (1 armed, 1 unarmed) same hours each day, stating FRI 4/26 or ASAP, no set end date, expected to last at least 3 – 6 months
Fridays – (1 armed, 1 unarmed) – 9pm to 1am (4 hours)
Saturdays – (1 armed, 1 unarmed) – 9pm to 1am (4 hours)
Scope: Guard are being requested for general security/visual presence/crowd control. Guards will be posted inside location (not outside or in their car) but may spend time outside patrolling parking lot/perimeter, responding to security concerns or per manager direction.
Security Officers (S) MUST, AT ALL TIMES WHILE ON DUTY OR AT A POST:
- REPORT TO WORK ON TIME, AS SCHEDULED ON ANY APPLICABLE PURCHASE ORDER AND ONLY WORK HOURS AUTHORIZED ON ANY APPLICABLE PURCHASE ORDER. CHANGES MUST BE CALLED IN TO AND APPROVED BY AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF BOWLERO. REPORT TO THE MANAGER ON DUTY IMMEDIATELY UPON ARRIVAL FOR THE WORK SHIFT AND PRIOR TO DEPARTURE AND VERIFY SIGN IN IN ACCORDANCE WITH PROCEDURES OF THE GUARD COMPANY SUPPLIER.
- COMPLETE AND SIGN A TIME SHEET (SIGN-IN SHEET) EACH DAY INDICATING ACTUAL HOURS WORKED, WEAR COMPANY UNIFORM (BLAZER, SLACKS, TIE, BADGE) OR BOWLERO-APPROVED UNIFORM AND BE CLEAN AND WELL GROOMED EVERY DAY.
- MAINTAIN A PLEASANT, CUSTOMER-FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL DEMEANOR AND POSTURE.
- PRACTICE COURTESY, DIPLOMACY, RESPECT AND GOOD PUBLIC RELATIONS.
- GREET CUSTOMERS APPROPRIATELY IF REQUESTED BY SITE MANAGEMENT.
- PERFORM DUTIES IN AN AWAKE, ALERT & READY MODE (I.E. NO SITTING, SLEEPING, ETC.).
- ESTABLISH A POSITION/PATROL OF THE SITE AS DIRECTED BY SITE MANAGEMENT.
- DIRECT CUSTOMER ASSISTANCE REQUESTS TO SITE MGMT OR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
- OBSERVE & REPORT ANY SUSPICIOUS BEHAVIOR, OR POTENTIAL CONFLICTS, TO SITE MANAGEMENT IMMEDIATELY, IN PERSON OR VIA RADIO AS APPROPRIATE.
- ASSIST AND PROTECT SITE MANAGEMENT WHEN SITE MANAGEMENT IS WORKING TO REMOVE ANY UNWANTED INDIVIDUAL (S) FROM THE PREMISES.
- BE AWARE OF A PERSON’S DEMEANOR UPON ENTRY AND NOT ALLOW A PERSON TO ENTER WHO APPEARS TO BE INTOXICATED.
- PERFORM PERIODIC PARKING LOT SWEEPS
- DURING PARKING LOT SWEEPS IF A GUARD NOTICES A PERSON DRINKING IN THE LOT, THEY WILL NOTIFY MANAGEMENT AND THE GUARD/MANAGEMENT WILL NOT PERMIT THE GUEST TO RE-ENTER. THE GUARD *SHOULD NOT* APPROACH ANONE IN THE PARKING LOT, JUST SWEEP THE PARKING LOT AND REPORT FINDINGS
- IN CENTER WITH BAG CHECK/METAL DETECTION : BE EXTRA MINDFUL OF PEOPLE TRYING TO BRING IN *ANY* TYPE OF OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINK. GUESTS ATTEMPTING TO BRING IN OUTSIDE FOOD/DRINK MUST BE DIRECTED TO RETURN THESE ITEMS TO THEIR VEHICLE (AND RESUBMIT TO SCREENING).
- WHERE AN ARMED SERVICE IS AUTHORIZED BY THE GUARD COMPANY SUPPLIER AND BOWLERO, THE SECURITY OFFICER WILL ADHERE TO STATE, FEDERAL AND LOCAL LAW AS TO THE FIREARM—ALL OTHER POST ORDERS CITED HEREIN WILL EQUALLY APPLY.
Security Officer (s) MUST NOT:
- LEAVE THEIR POST FOR ANY REASON (ASIDE FROM ON-SITE BREAKS) WITHOUT SPECIFIC PERMISSION FROM SITE MANAGEMENT.
- SIT DOWN, LEAN ON EQUIPMENT OR HANDLE CLIENT PROPERTY, SLEEP, ETC.
- BE TALKING OR TEXTING ON CELL PHONE (ASIDE FROM CLIENT BUSINESS MATTERS OTHERWISE CELL PHONE IS TO BE TURNED OFF AND CAN BE CHECKED ON BREAK).
- DETAIN, ATTEMPT TO DETAIN, APPREHEND, CHASE, FOLLOW OR PURSUE ANY CUSTOMER OR ASSOCIATE.
- QUESTION OR ACCUSE ANY CUSTOMER OR ASSOCIATE OF WRONGDOING
- ASK ANY CUSTOMER OR ASSOCIATE TO LEAVE THE SITE (UNLESS ASSISTING MANAGEMENT WHEN MANAGEMENT DIRECTS ANYONE TO LEAVE SITE)
- ENGAGE IN ANY TYPE OF CONFRONTATION (OBSERVE & REPORT TO SITE MANAGEMENT ONLY), UNLESS IT IS TO PROTECT THE SAFETY OF AN ASSOCIATE OR GUEST IN ACTUAL OR THREAT OF IMMINENT HARM.
- COMMENT ON OR BECOME INVOLVED IN ANY REFUND OR EXCHANGE ISSUES.
- ESCORT ASSOCIATES TO THE PARKING LOT AT THE END OF THE NIGHT UNLESS SPECIFICALLY DIRECTED TO DO SO BY CENTER MANAGEMENT.
- ENGAGE IN NON-WORK-RELATED CONVERSATIONS WITH ASSOCIATES OR INTERRUPT THEIR WORK UNNECESSARILY.
- DISCLOSE DETAILS OF EVENTS WITNESSED WHILE ON DUTY OR AT THE POST TO ANYONE OTHER THAN TO THE GUARD COMPANY SUPPLIER OR BOWLERO REPRESENTATIVE (e.g. DO NOT TALK TO ANY REPORTERS, INVESTIGATORS OR LAWYERS, AND DO NOT REPRESENT YOURSELF TO BE AN ASSOCIATE OR SPOKESPERSON OF THE CLIENT).
- PERFORM ANY DUTIES NORMALLY ASSOCIATED WITH SITE OPERATIONS, SUCH AS COLLECTING TRASH, SWEEPING FLOORS, ETC.
- TOUCH, POSSESS, CONTROL, INVENTORY OR GUARD ANY CASH, CHECKS OR CREDIT SLIPS.
- CALL POLICE EXCEPT IF DIRECTED BY SITE MANAGEMENT, OR IN AN EMERGENCY WHERE THERE IS AN ACTUAL OR THREAT OF IMMINENT HARM.
- CARRY, POSSESS OR USE ANY WEAPONS OF ANY KIND WHILE ON DUTY (i.e. NO WEAPONS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED ON POST), EXCEPT NOTED ABOVE WHERE AN ARMED SERVICE IS AUTHORIZED IN THE BY THE GUARD COMPANY SUPPLIER AND BOWLERO.

Successful applicants must:
Be a Virginia State DCJS Armed & Unarmed Certified Officer
Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Be willing to stand/walk for extended periods of time.
Enjoy working with the public.
Be able to deliver exceptional customer service, as well as de-escalate situations
Prior military/law enforcement/corrections experience a plus.
You MUST have own cell phone and OWN vehicle.
