1. Purpose of the job - the purpose of the position or why this job exists within the Department or organization
Process technicians are key players in our manufacturing environment. The purpose of this role is to ensure our processes are stabile and adhered to by all.
2. Key accountabilities –
1. Provide application and process engineering expertise to facilitate manufacturing efficiencies and continuous improvement.
Support and coordinate the development and implementation of moulding processes and related quality/engineering activities on new and existing product development.
3. Provide responsive support to the manufacturing operation.
4. Maintain and communicate the general knowledge of material properties and LSR moulding techniques across departmental functions.
5. Assist in the identification of new processes to support cost reductions, quality improvements, and statistically capable processes.
6. Ensure all Mold changes have been completed thoroughly and manufacture ready.
7. Ensure all documentation is properly approved, correct & concise, and understandable.
8. Perform technical support to manufacturing, automation, and maintenance
9. Participate in continuous improvement efforts, corrective action formulation, and root-cause investigation

4. Knowledge, skills and experience – the minimum qualifications and experience required to perform the responsibilities of this position
Minimum qualification required:
· Mechanical abilities
Knowledge/experience required beyond minimum qualification:
· Knowledge of rubber Molding, plastic injection Molding, or Engel Press experience
Other key factors:
Language Skills:
· Ability to write detailed descriptive correspondence regarding molding processes. Ability to effectively present information in small and large group situations to manufacturing staff and customers/clients as needed.
Mathematical Skills:
· Ability to perform basic and advanced mathematics using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals, standard units, and metric units. Utilization and understanding of statistics, geometry, and dimensional tolerances.
Reasoning Ability:
· Ability to process and organize data and details into actionable activities and process solutions.
· Ability to troubleshoot problems and produce suggestions for corrections and improvements.
· Ability to use graphs, charts, statistical data, and various analytical tools to maximize process efficiencies.
Computer Skills:
· Functional knowledge of computer based systems and networks. Must be able to navigate and use standard Microsoft Office Software (Word, Excel, Project, Access and PowerPoint).
