Primary Description
The Video Specialist position requires someone who has a heart for the local church and the ability to take creative concepts from start to finish. Our ideal candidate is highly motivated and willing to support several visual elements, including video shoots and editing, as well as content creation and execution during weekend worship gatherings..
Status: Full-time (40 hrs/wk)(Non-exempt) 100% onsite

Responsibilities
- Creates, shoots, and edits spiritually powerful, great-looking video content for Northland ministries, from simple announcement videos to more artistic lyric videos and creative service elements.
- Very comfortable with receiving feedback and implementing changes based on input from creative director; experience working in a fluid, rapidly changing environment.
- Participates in the evaluation and critique of video projects, with an emphasis on producing quality work, maintaining best practices and excellence within allotted timelines and resources.
- Ability to work in presentation programs such as ProPresenter to prepare service content such as worship lyrics, sermon slides, and other content as needed for weekly services. Additionally, assist with the arrangement of camera positions and ensure optimal focus for static cameras.
- Experience in recruiting, training and leading a volunteer team to run ProPresenter during weekly services and special events.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Credentials (Educational & Professional Requirements)
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 3 years experience in filming and editing (required).
- Minimum 2 years working in professional production or large church setting.
EDUCATIONAL:
- Bachelor's Degree in production or a related field is preferred, but not required.
SYSTEM/SOFTWARE:
- Familiarity with film or broadcast camera operation and terminology is required.
- You will be working with media servers and video routing systems, learning these systems will be required.
- Familiarity with Planning Center Online (PCO), ProPresenter and Playback is required.
- Proficient with video editing and motion graphic software (Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or similar).
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion.
- 12-hour work days occur on occasion with special events.
- Ability to handle multiple projects at one time.
- Prolonged periods of working at a computer are required.
