The Facility Custodian is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of our buildings and the surrounding grounds. Their duties include sweeping, mopping, cleaning machines, sanitizing restroom facilities, mowing, weed eating, and collecting trash to ensure the building’s occupants have a clean space. Essential functions and responsibilities of the position may vary by requirements and business needs.
Responsibilities and Duties:
The Facility Custodian’s main responsibility is to clean the workspace, warehouse, and surrounding warehouse buildings, and maintaining the grounds on the outside. This task is broken down into several duties performed throughout the day or at other regular intervals, such as:

Outside clean-up: The entire perimeter and parking lot must be trash-free and occasionally swept when needed. Pallets must be stacked according to size in stacks of no more than 15 pallets. No garbage or wood debris on the outside of the building. (weather permitting)

Emergency Exits: Check the production floor/warehouse and ensure all emergency exits are clear of any obstruction.

Production Floor Perimeter: The perimeter must be swept and cleared daily. Check to make sure rodent traps are placed correctly in their planned locations.

Sweep the production area.

Hair and Beard Nets: Make sure all net receptacles are full.
Additional Responsibilities- Throughout the day

Cleaning check-off list for daily and weekly cleaning

Make sure all production cleaning supplies and gloves (all sizes) are filled and in their assigned area by the elevators of each machine. (Alpet D2 bottles and Simple green bottles)

Piping and walls should be dusted regularly to keep build-up from accumulating.
Bathroom:

Clean and disinfect toilets, mirrors, and all surfaces.

Refill soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and air freshener.

Remove trash.

Breakroom:

Fridge: Clear all perishables with no name on them. Wipe down outside

Clean and disinfect microwaves, sinks, counters, and any other surface

Empty trash and recycling
