Warehouse Solutions Manager
Overview
Reports to Director of Warehouse Operations
Develops warehouse operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving products, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping. It also plays a key role in the organization's WMS (warehouse management system) support. This includes but is not limited to new customer development, maintaining part number catalog, and running reports.
Responsibilities

Manage warehouse property (i.e. supplies, equipment, facilities)

Manage/Supervise daily warehouse operations

Manage individuals working in the warehouse

Control labor costs
-
Consistent, well-implemented training programs with measurable and well-documented results
-
Handle freight
-
Operate warehouse equipment
-
Manage household van equipment
-
Manage Packing Supplies check-in/out procedures
-
Complete freight handling paperwork (i.e. exception sheets, pallet cards)

Maintain warehouse inventories
-
Maintain warehouse housekeeping standards inside and out
-
Maintain forklift certification files in accordance with OSHA standards

Maintain warehouse and facility to ensure compliance with Military Standards

Maintain Documentation process for all items coming in/out of the warehouse.
Education
-
A BS/BA degree in Logistics, Business Management, Industrial Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience. An advanced degree is preferred
Experience

Two years experience in warehouse operations
