Description: Maintenance Associates will ensure the effective and efficient operation of all mechanical and fixed equipment at all facilities.
Essential Functions (Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following.):
Responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient operation of all mechanical and fixed equipment.
Ensuring the facilities are as close as possible to their original condition or better
Coordinate and prioritize maintenance tasks to be performed
Communicates with farm managers the status of a maintenance request as it pertains to level of priority and projected completion time.
Ensures that tasks performed are completed timely and satisfactory.
Ensure that routine checks and repair of
· Feeding systems
· Watering systems
· Ventilation equipment
· Cooling equipment
· Generators
Responsible for the maintenance of building’s exterior.
Utilizes knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, plumbing, or heating and cooling skills in performing assignments.
Ensure that assigned work orders are completed in a timely manner.
Ensures all completed work orders are properly filed in accordance with company policies.
Uses all required PPE and raises awareness of and addresses possible safety concerns.
Oversight and proper care taken to ensure the safety and proper operational condition of all tools within their assigned work location.
Perform the routine maintenance of generators.
Emergency calls may be required due to unforeseen circumstances to ensure proper functioning of systems required to support proper livestock environment conditions.

Qualifications
Knowledge of fundamental mechanical, electrical, carpentry, or plumbing.
Education and/or Experience
No minimum requirement.
Language skills
English.
Mathematical skills
Elementary math needed.
Reasoning ability
-Identify, trouble shoot and prioritize work.
-Must be able to follow instructions.
Certificates, licenses, and registrations
-None.
Work environment
The temperature inside the facility will vary depending on the weather. Employees will come into contact with feed dust and the body fluids of animals that will include, but not limited to blood, saliva, mucus, urine, fecal matter, etc. Tasks may also be performed outside of facilities, which would create exposure to extreme heat, cold, and moisture.
