Radiation Oncology Medical Coding Specialist
Become an Assembler! We are looking for a Radiation Oncology Medical Coding Specialist to join our Physician RCM team. This is a full-time, non-exempt position reporting to the Director of Coding.
What You Will Do
· Code medical procedures or evaluation and management codes per CPT guidelines. Knowledge of urology and radiation oncology coding guidelines a plus.
· Code diagnosis per ICD 10 CM standards
· Append modifiers when necessary.
· Review CCI for multiple procedures
· Review LMRP and NCD for CPT codes
· Attend department meetings and other general staff meetings.
· Other tasks as needed
What it Takes to Join the Family
· CPC Certification preferred.
· Basic knowledge of billing and insurance procedures
· Strong communication and customer service skills
· Ability to work independently and with a team
· Ability to function well in a fast-paced and at times stressful environment
· Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer. Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 10 pounds at times
