We are looking for a skilled, enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist to provide quality care for students in the school setting. The Speech-Language Pathologist will perform screenings, assess students/clients, and design therapy and treatment plans to help the students develop their communication skills to their maximum potential. You should be knowledgeable about speech-related conditions and evidenced based therapy approaches.
Our company is looking for an SLP that develops individualized treatment plans to better suit the individual needs of a diverse patient population. You should be caring, adaptable, analytical, and resourceful. Our company is ran by a Speech-Language Pathologist with 20 years of experience and we provide ongoing support and education to our staff.
Speech Pathologist Responsibilities:
- Performing comprehensive speech and language evaluations
- Creating treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of the students
- Performing screenings
- Document findings of assessments in the student's IEP
- Attend IEP meetings (95% virtual)
- Educating parents, teachers, and family members about speech disorders and treatment plans.
- Keeping detailed records relating to student conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
- Reporting progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals
Speech Pathologist Requirements:
- Master’s degree in Speech-language Pathology
- Valid state license or certification
- 1-2 year experience preferred
- Experience working with pre-school and school age children preferred
- Strong understanding of speech-related conditions and treatments
- Excellent coaching and verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with computers, especially patient and healthcare databases
- Attentive and caring
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and write Evaluations.
