Works with Creative Services to brainstorm and design events and help lead them to execution.

Demonstrates senior knowledge of floral design, construction, props, fabrication, and lighting.

Supports the Samples department in design and fabrication of successful sample presentations.

Collaborates and brainstorms with sales staff to conceptualize event designs. Interprets needs, style and budgetary guidelines to effectively create designs both in-house and on-site.

Executes original floral designs as per client specifications and on budget.

Develops and spearheads original designs for tabletop both in-house and on-site.

Participates in meetings with Creative Services to discuss and brainstorm new design trends and how they can impact the company.

Applies knowledge of both floral and wedding trends to designs, including color, seasonal availability and durability for production work.

Participates in Samples Meeting and participates in high-volume production work.

Determines floral and other elements needed to create floral arrangements for samples.

Responsible for the documentation of all floral utilized from each sample presentation into an electronic floral formula.

Works closely with the Purchasing department to ensure timely purchase of flowers needed for sample presentations.

Supports the Floral Department with floral production as needed both in-house and on-site.

Takes on special projects from conception to completion for the President, Sales staff, Creative Director, and senior management.

Develops cross functional relationships with the team to collaborate, brainstorm, design and execute décor.

Qualifications | What You Need to Bring

Minimum 5 years’ experience in floral design and construction and event design, particularly in an event décor company.
-
Knowledge of event venues, design trends and style.
-
Knowledge of floral design, construction, props, art fabrication, and lighting.
-
Knowledge of industry trends a plus.
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
-
Ability to multi-task, meet multiple deadlines and effectively balance projects.
-
Ability to work in fast-paced, detail oriented, changing environment.
-
Sound math skills.
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-
Excellent interpersonal skills.
-
Ability to deal effectively with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels.

Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, and good follow-up skills.

Able to efficiently and safely use floral knives and clippers and other light tools.

Available to work varied work shift that includes days, nights, weekends and holidays if needed.
