POSITION OVERVIEW:
Salary rage $45,000 to $55,000 annually.

The Commercial Insurance Assistant Account Manager is an experienced P&C-licensed insurance professional who provides day-to-day support to the Commercial Account Manager team. This person works closely with carrier representatives, underwriters, business partners, and colleagues. This person functions at a high level autonomously and is experienced in middle/large market support. In addition, this person must function well in a team environment, supporting multiple Account Managers with the ability to act with urgency, strong organizational skills, and prioritize accordingly. Opportunities for advancement. The optimum candidate for this role is a highly experienced account management support expert who is looking to eventually advance into an account management role.

Core Duties and Responsibilities:
The Commercial Insurance Assistant Account Manager is expected to contribute to the commercial department by assisting the Commercial Account Manager team through customer service, account retention, general back-office support, independent thinking, and problem-solving.

Utilizes agency management system to its fullest for E&O purposes including appropriately documenting conversations with clients and carrier representatives. Activities, suspense items, policy documents, etc. are updated in real time, each day.
- Processes endorsements

Issue Certificates of Insurance and ensure the accuracy of information

Process changes to commercial policies

Manage cancellation and reinstatement notices

Support commercial submissions by requesting and pulling together submission requirements such as loss runs, loss summaries, prior policy docs, preparing supplements, updating Accord applications

Process incoming renewals and new business by accurately invoicing premiums in accordance with agency accounting procedures, within established time frames.

Troubleshoots claims and billing issues

Adhere to our agency’s standards and those of the contracted carriers and brokers

Participate in seminars and other training for knowledge and development
Minimum Qualifications:
-
3+ years of multi-line commercial mid to large market account teams
-
Licensed for a minimum 3 years in Property and Casualty

Prior experience working with an independent brokerage or agency

Account Manager or Account Support experience for 5 years

High School diploma or equivalent required

Experience in using an agency management system

Very experienced with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), composing and word processing of letters, reports, memoranda and other documents of a complex and difficult nature

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Prepare materials required for meetings and presentations including word documents, excel spreadsheets and Power Point Presentations

Ability to understand policy forms, coverage descriptions, coding, endorsements, and where to find applicable information

Ability to stay focused and on task

Maintains a positive and respectful attitude

Must maintain a high level of confidentiality at all times

Willingness to attend educational classes desired

High attention to detail is a must with the ability to work with little to no direction, ensure detailed/accurate results, and proceed with objectives without supervision
