JOB OVERVIEW:
The Service Coordinator performs a variety of support functions to assist the Operations team and reports directly to the Customer Service Manager. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing updates on each job with the goal of meeting our customer commitments and exceeding their expectations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan production schedules based on customer order requirements, working closely with purchasing and production teams, to ensure availability of material and resources to meet production targets and delivery deadlines.
- Monitor daily work order fulfillment in accordance to plan schedule and coordinate with facility management for any schedule deviations to ensure corrective action plans are taken immediately to resolve issues.
- Get quotes for OSP (Outside Sourced Products) for new parts and parts repairs RFQ Quotes. Supply them to the supervisor for Work Router Development.
- Prepare Inspection Packets and computer entry for file setup for each specific pump.
- Work Orders
- Track customer supplied parts and materials.
- Responsible for the Pump Status Report
- Assist Manager with RFQ information that is needed by the Estimating department to complete the Quote.
- Coordinate all incoming and outgoing parts for machine shop with the foundry, Deer Park, Port Allen and all outside vendors.
- Acquire and maintain Purchase Orders.
- Monitor inventory for the Machine Shop and be the point of contact for shop supply needs (tooling, hardware as needed, misc.)
- Attend weekly production meeting and take meeting minutes.
- Act as a backup in the absence of the Pump Repair Coordinator or another site’s shop coordinator. Assist these other roles as a member of the operations team in any area that you can add value or assistance.
- Assist the sales team by updating them with any date changes or issues within the shop when the customer’s part is in our possession until the part is delivered back to the customer. Maintain constant, open communication with the Sales Manager for each customer that we have a current RFQ or Part in the works.
- Coordinate with shipping/receiving to ensure parts/materials are received and documented.
- Work with internal Customer Service Representatives to relay job status and providing project timelines and schedules.
- Participate and implement programs and procedures to improve processes, lead-time, production yields and delivery performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma/GED and/or 5 years of equivalent work experience
- BS or BA Degree in relevant field (preferred)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, etc.) Familiarity with demand planning, ERP systems, and lean manufacturing principles
- Proficiency in collaboration and teamwork
- *Basic knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes such as machining, welding, inspection, assembly.
- High energy and self-starter that can work in a fast pace environment
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and follow-up on assignments
- Demonstrated ability to take initiative, anticipate needs, and exercise sound judgement

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
