Job description
Growing company needs a QUALIFIED CNC Mill/Lathe Operator to help our CNC Machining Department. HAAS CNC experience is a plus. Excellent low-pressure working environment. We are an OEM not a Job Shop. Great opportunity for seasoned veteran/retired person looking to re-enter the work force. We are willing to train the right person IF they have machining experience in the following areas;
1. Fixture setup, vise zeroing, edge finding, etc
2. Use of Electronic Probe
3. Tooling. Know tooling capabilities and function. Speeds and feeds.
4. Know basic G-Codes
5. Basic Material identification. Steel, Aluminum, Delrin, etc.
6. Know how to follow setup sheets, QC docs, Travelers.
7. Follow basic QC measuring equipment using calipers, mics, thread gauges, pin gauges, etc
8. Setup area for efficient operation
9. Able to train and work with others
Responsibilities
- Prepare and operate CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
- Understand specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.
- Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
- Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications
- Set machines to complete full cycles to fabricate large number of parts
- Supervise the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly
- Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality
- Lead other operators after training is complete
Skills
- Proven experience as CNC operator
- Skill in operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
- Basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM, Specifically, Solidworks and MasterCam
- Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
- A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
- Good communication abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent; certificate or diploma in engineering or relevant discipline is a plus
- Ability to work with others, lead a team after training is complete

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift, overtime available but not mandatory
- Monday to Friday
Work Location: In person

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
