Cedarhurst, a regional healthcare provider and true friend of older adults, seeks a service-minded, career-oriented individual to join our team as a Life Enrichment Specialist.
As a Life Enrichment Specialist, you will impact the lives of our residents by –
Ensure excellence in identified key performance indicators related to Life Enrichment.
- Ensuring excellence in identified key performance indicators related to Life Enrichment
- Supporting each Community’s Leadership and Regional Teams in optimizing each resident’s well-being.
- Utilizing organizational analysis, regulatory compliance, staff development, life enrichment and memory care practices within each Community.
- Supporting existing Cedarhurst Senior living communities, including supporting during the acquisition of and opening of new communities.
- Overseeing community development initiatives as identified, including the implementation, and monitoring of the electronic life enrichment and family engagement program, memory care programming, and other Life Enrichment related programs.
- Leading the implementation and monitoring of community practices and systems within each Community, including during acquisitions and the opening of new communities
- Identifying and monitors key performance indicators associated with life enrichment, activities, and family engagement
- Coordinating education, training, and mentoring opportunities for all team members
- Participating in the cross-community survey preparedness process of Communities and strategizes with Community, Operations, and Nursing leadership on any identified areas of improvement, regulatory compliance, and plans of corrections
- Assisting in the implementation and monitoring of the adoption of the Company's memory care model
- Assiting in overseeing the development and maintenance of life enrichment, activities, and memory care programming policies, procedures, resources that are in accordance with Federal, State, and Local regulations.
- Providing ongoing learning and skill development opportunity related to life enrichment and memory care best practices for all team members
- Providing support in the design and implementation of professional advancement programs, processes, and tools to improve Community staff retention, onboarding and mentoring of new life enrichment employees, and ongoing development
- Collaborating with department team members to set organization-wide quality improvement goals, plans, and initiatives on an ongoing basis and revises as needed
- Providing guidance regarding Resident Rights concerns and grievances with residents, families, employees, and affected parties
- Traveling 80%-100% of the time within Indiana with all expenses paid for.
- Other duties as assigned.
To become a Life Enrichment Specialist, you will need -
- Two (2) or more years of experience in a senior care community with proven leadership and organizational skills preferred.
- Degree in recreation therapy, social work, gerontology, nursing, health administration or related field preferred
- State required license/certification for operating an Assisted Living/Memory Care community is desired.
