SUMMARY
Ensure the stable operation of the in-house computer software and hardware systems and network connections. This includes planning, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all server and network hardware and communication links. The person will also analyze and resolve end user non-network software program and connectivity issues in a timely and accurate fashion, and provide end user training where required. Other duties or projects, as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES
1. Manage and administrate all operating systems and their corresponding or associatedsoftware.
2. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.Coordinate and communicate with all appropriate parties.
3. Manage and ensure the integrity of host computers, multiple databases and datatransfer.
4. Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end userapplications.
5. Distribute and supervise server storage space allotments.
6. Assist in design and implementation disaster recovery plan for operating systems, databases, networks, servers,and software applications.
7. Provide on-call technicalsupport.
8. Assess need for any system reconfigurations (minor or significant) and execute them ifrequired.
9. Conduct research on emerging products, services, protocols, and standards in support of systemsroadmap and development efforts.
10. Develop , implement and maintain procedures and associated training plans for system administration and appropriate use.
11. Administr and manatin end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
12. Perform system backups.
13. Monitor and test server software performance and provide statistics and reports.
14. Recommend, schedule, and perform software improvements, upgrades, and/or purchases.
