Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Asbestos Manager to join our team. As an Asbestos Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing asbestos-related projects, ensuring compliance with regulations and industry best practices. Your expertise in asbestos abatement and mold remediation will be crucial in maintaining a safe and healthy environment for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement asbestos management plans in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Conduct thorough inspections to identify asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) and assess potential risks
- Coordinate and oversee asbestos removal projects, including the restoration and building of affected areas
- Ensure proper containment, removal, and disposal of ACMs in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations
- Monitor work sites to ensure adherence to safety protocols and procedures
- Conduct air monitoring and sampling to assess the effectiveness of asbestos abatement activities
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to address any concerns or issues related to asbestos management
- Provide training and guidance to staff on asbestos-related topics, including proper handling and disposal techniques
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of asbestos abatement procedures, mold remediation techniques, and OSHA regulations
- Strong understanding of federal, state, and local regulations related to asbestos management
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail in identifying ACMs and assessing potential risks
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies
- Ability to lead a team and provide training on asbestos-related topics
